As it's getting colder and colder, I've been slowly switching over to wearing winter coats instead of my [fake] leather moto jacket that I've been donning all fall. The only issue with this is that most of my winter coats lack hoods and generally seem too "formal" for everyday wear (at least it seems to me that way this year... apparently I thought otherwise last winter). I do have one hooded jacket, which is a little short, that I got last year purely for the sake of snowboarding in. However, that proved to be a bad choice given the amount of snow that would sneak into my snow pants and all up my sweater.
I've been desiring a duffle/toggle coat for a few months now and it's tempting to just buy one when there seems to be a whole slew of them out this winter. There are three in particular that I've been eyeing:

Left to right: JCrew Classic Duffle Coat, JCrew Wool Melton Toggle Coat, Uniqlo Wool Blended Duffle Coat
But of course, I could just make one! I recently bought the Albion coat pattern from Colette Patterns and hope to make one soon--hopefully at least before winter is over so that I don't have a repeat of this.

I still need to buy fabric and all the other necessary supplies; I've only printed out the pattern so far. Additionally, I need to find the time to get to it... I'm actually working on a dress right now that I hope to finish soon! And I've been actually getting stuff for my apartment (got a bookshelf this past weekend!) and will need to clean up and organize some things.
On another note, I hope to post my Halloween costume from this year soon! A little late, but better than never. I have a few things I want to fix before presenting it (the whole inside wasn't done when I wore it Halloween day).
